Gyros with Cucumber Sauce

Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Petite Sirloin, Chuck Roast, or other Roast sliced very thin
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • oregano
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
  • olive oil
  • sliced tomato
  • lettuce
  • sliced onion
  • pita bread
  • Tzaziki homemade or store-bought

Instructions

  • Season the sliced roast to your liking with with salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, lemon juice and a touch of olive oil.
  • Let the meat rest until it comes to room temperature (this is optional, but will result in more tender and flavorful meat).
  • Grill the meat. Keep an eye on it. It should only take a few minutes per side.
  • Warm the pita in a pan.
  • Serve the grilled steak in a pita with lettuce, tomato, onions and Tzaziki.
